Hello!

Welcome to my business site! My name is Mary and this is "WebZigns by Mare".

If you are looking to have a business or personal web site built and/or are in need of a Resume, Letter of Application, information and consulting on software applications, auctions (eBay, Yahoo, etc.), or any other computer-secretarial service, then you have come to the right place!

Please stop by and see my Resume and References and "printable" Resume.

My Mission

My mission is to provide high-quality, reasonably priced services to individuals seeking professionally produced documents and/or Web sites on both a local and/or world-wide level. For those wanting something of a personal nature, I am offering that hometown personal appearance.

Personal Profile

I am presently in the realm of being a "jack-of-all-trades".  I am an honor graduate of the Elmira Business Institute where I graduated in the "80's" with a Certificate/Diploma in Executive/General Secretarial. I spent approximately 12 years in this field perfecting my skills and abilities to become one of the best in the field.  Upon recently (December, 1998) taking our State's (Pennsylvania) Civil Service Exam for Clerk Typist I/II, I scored at the very top of the list over 23 other passing individuals in two area counties qualified for state positions (i.e., Secretarial/Clerical for such places as the Welfare Office, Social Security Office, CYS, etc.).

Over the course of the past 2 1/2 years (or more), I have become increasingly interesed in the various computer fields, learning primarily on my own.  Although I really wasn't certain that I had the apptitude for it, others seemed impressed with my knowledge and skills. I finally decided, after having so much fun on the Internet and being jealous of seeing such wonderful Web sites, to pursue formal education in that field.  Thus, I enrolled in August, 1998, in the WebPage Design/Internet Specialist Certificate program though ICS Learning Systems.  If you are not familiar with ICS, they are primarily a correspondence/on-line learning program.   They are accredited and also offer degree programs through partnership with Penn-State University.

This program was a one-year program, however, I was able to complete the program within only 5 months and earned a 93% ("Excellent") GPA.

Since graduating, the sites that I have designed have consisted mostly of ones of a personal nature.  However, I am presently working on one that I was approached about for the RedCross (in an area of New York), one for a fellow eBayer (a "store-front"), and am hoping to be designing one for a friend's Pre-School and a relative's scrap yard.  As these projects progress, I will have links available on my site to view these works as well.

Presently, I am employed full-time as a Technical Support Specialist/WebPage Designer for a company called Blackthorne Software.  Blackthorne Software designs and produces the AuctionAssistant™ and AuctionTicker software programs that help to produce easier, more visible, and pleasing-to-the-eye, ads for eBay auctions (AA and AT are in no way related to eBay or its affiliates).

I am also presently enrolled in another one-year Certificate program through the Stratford Career Institute. This program is for Computer Programming with C++.  I am also planning to enroll in another program, similar to this, for Visual Basic and also hope to, eventually, obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.  I would also like to eventually get into more in depth graphic design.

With regard to other services that I offer, they include Resumes, Reference Sheets, Letters of Application, Digital Resumes (on-line), PowerPoint Presentations, etc.  I am also quite adept at the Internet/WWW and offer consulting services for this, various software programs, and on-line auctioning.

To give you a more "personal" view of who I am, I am also the mother of two young children, Meghanne Elayna (6), and Reid Mitchell (4).  We live in rural Pennsylvania.   Some of my favorite things to do when I'm not on the computer (and when is that???) include spending time with my children, Nascar racing, baseball, working on crafts, reading, creative writing, home decorating, music, movies, and like most women(!)... shopping! I also like to buy and sell on eBay (ID=nasbabe) and Yahoo (ID=mare30nascar).

Well, that's about it about me! Thanks for taking the time to read this!  I hope that you will find my site to be easy to read, friendly, informative, and my prices in-line with what you are looking to have done.  I aim to please and hope that if you don't like something, can't find something in particular, etc., that you will contact me.
